Sulphite follows Rohan Jabeel (RJ), a brilliant and emotional yet skeptical young man from a respected Syed family who rejects religion. Labelled a “sulphite person” for his sharp intellect and cynical outlook, RJ’s life takes a turn when he meets Umme Hani, a devout, strong-willed hijabi woman. Her faith and wisdom gradually lead him toward emotional and spiritual transformation. Set against a backdrop of university life, love, ideological conflict, and personal questions about belief and identity, the novel blends romance with philosophical and Islamic reflections.
